Privacy Policy

    TL;DR: AudioCipher collects nothing. Your messages, audio, and data never leave your device. Everything runs entirely in your browser.
  

1. No Data Collection

AudioCipher does not collect, store, transmit, or process any personal data. There are no accounts, no login, no cookies set by AudioCipher, and no analytics tracking.

All encoding, decoding, and audio synthesis happens locally in your browser using the Web Audio API. No text, audio files, cipher keys, or any other content you enter is ever sent to any server.

2. What Runs Locally

The following all happen entirely on your device:

Text-to-audio encoding (HZAlpha, Morse, DTMF, FSK, GGWave, Custom Map)
Audio decoding and FFT analysis
WAV file generation and download
Steganography audio mixing
Cipher settings and custom frequency maps

AudioCipher works offline after the first page load. No internet connection is required to encode or decode messages.

3. Third-Party Services

AudioCipher uses the following third-party services, which may have their own data practices:

Google Fonts — loads the Inter and Share Tech Mono typefaces. Google may log the request IP. See Google's privacy policy.
Google AdSense — this site may display Google AdSense advertisements. Google uses cookies to show relevant ads based on your prior browsing history. You can opt out at google.com/settings/ads. See Google's privacy policy.
Netlify — the site is hosted on Netlify, which logs standard web server access data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and performance purposes. See Netlify's privacy policy.

4. Cookies

AudioCipher itself sets no cookies. Google AdSense may set cookies for ad personalisation as described above. You can manage or disable cookies in your browser settings.

5. Children's Privacy

AudioCipher does not knowingly collect any information from anyone under the age of 13. The tool contains no forms, registration, or user accounts of any kind.

6. Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy changes materially, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. Continued use of AudioCipher after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
